Why Leaders Need Peer Groups

CEOs typically face a steep and lonely learning curve and are forced to upskill themselves on the job, when the stakes are high, and missteps can cause painful failures. Peer Groups fast track the learning of CEO-level leadership skills and the tools needed to manage organizations through complexity. The program matches CEOs and near-CEOs with leaders facing similar challenges to learn from real-world dialogue and peer coaching versus theoretical case studies.

Using our peer group learning format and a curriculum-based playbook, we offer a comprehensive program designed to significantly enhance your confidence and competence, while equipping you with the tools necessary to master and deliver exceptional, predictable performance for the CEO role. You will receive operational, strategic, and emotional support with an experienced chair who has been in your shoes, and a cohort of peer leaders.

Format:
To foster connection and develop expertise, our year-long peer groups will consist of the following:

  • Two-day kickoff retreat (all-inclusive; idyllic 150-acre ranch and retreat near Austin, TX)
  • One in-person all-day meeting each quarter.
  • Two virtual half-days each quarter.
  • Monthly 1-on-1 coaching session with APG Leader.

When:

  • April Cohort: in-person retreat followed by sessions once a month.
  • May Cohort: in-person retreat followed by sessions once a month.

Who:

  • Carefully curated peer groups of 8-12 members.
  • Peer Groups participants selected based on Industry, Professional Role, and other person center alignments.
