Some tech leaders are exploiting the belief that “knowledge is power” by limiting employee access to business data. Without this information, employees cannot adequately contribute to important decisions, and their voices go unheard. By disregarding these employees, however, companies miss out on the diverse views and ideas that their employees could bring.
If companies truly wish to promote diversity, then leaders must provide their employees with equal access to business data. It is essential that all employee voices are heard— not just the voices of those in power.
