New Year, New Curriculum

The new year is finally here! One of the most important New Year’s resolutions you can commit to is to advance your career. So many people feel like they’re unable to advance or make a change in their jobs, and struggle to find the support and resources they need to do so. AnitaB.org’s Curriculum Series, which now includes two new modules, is designed to help you boost your confidence and career.

The AnitaB.org Curriculum Series provides career guidance to women technologists by connecting them with each other and the materials they need, when and where they need them. With assets such as slides, videos, and activities, these modules will help you learn how to thrive in the field of computing.

Our Modules

Below is a brief description of each module:

Module 1: Decoding the Technical Interview — This interactive and collaborative module is full of videos, practical advice and other tips to help you ace every element of your technical interview. Learn all about videoconferencing, pair programming, whiteboard strategies, and more.

Module 2: Designing Your Career in Computing — There’s no single path to a rewarding career in computing, which is why our module allows you to creatively map out the many different career paths available to you. Use our videos, resources, and tools to learn strategies to help you succeed and stay in the field.

(NEW) Module 3: Getting the Interview — It’s time you got the job you want. See how you can make your resume stand out. Watch videos of women technologists sharing their strategies, participate in interactive group activities, and use our helpful toolbox.

(NEW) Module 4: Sharpening Your Technical Skills — Keep up with the ever-changing world of technology. Explore videos, tips, resources, and interactive exercises to develop your own personal strategy for keeping your skills sharp.

Start your Journey

Making a change in your career may be intimidating, but it is certainly not impossible. Our modules provide key information, and give you the confidence you need to move forward.

“You must have trust in yourself and your abilities,” said Amany Alshawi during her talk at GHC 16. “Don’t wait to say ‘now I am ready.’ If you have the dedication and the passion and the vision, you will be able to deliver at the end.”

Start the new year right by starting your journey today.

Happy 2017, everybody!
