GoDaddy’s CEO Blake Irving has had an impressive career, but he says his most memorable moment was in 2015 when he spoke at the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. He promised that he would end GoDaddy’s infamously sexist ads, and that he would focus on increasing diversity and equality within the company. GoDaddy has since created different initiatives to promote diversity, and was recently named one of the nation’s best workplaces for women in tech.
Although Blake is retiring from his position at GoDaddy, he is confident in the company’s future. We can’t wait to see what new initiatives GoDaddy creates to support women in tech.
