Diversity and Inclusion are Essential for Indian Startups

While the number of startups in India have increased over the last few years, these companies still struggle to create an inclusive workplace. Many feel that diversity and inclusion are “not essential” aspects when starting a business, causing many employees to leave and return to their old jobs. “A startup needs employees that are dedicated and willing to push themselves to grow the business,” writes Geetha Kannan, managing director of AnitaB.org India. “That can’t happen without an inclusive culture.”
