Cisco’s Innovative Recruitment Campaign

Social media is a great way for companies to advertise. Cisco recently began using Snapchat as a means to promote the company and its culture, and even held a Snapchat contest for graduates at GHC 16. Now Cisco plans to take one step further by using Snapchat as a recruiting platform. “We’re going to tie our Snapchat channel more directly to filling jobs via some sort of contest or branding mechanism to help fill a particular position,” explained Macy Andrews, Cisco’s director for culture and global employer branding. Cisco hopes that this innovative and unconventional campaign will allow a larger audience to connect and engage with the company.
