Supporting Women in Tech with Better STEM Education

Women in tech are significantly underrepresented in all industries, and as a result, they often struggle with the feeling of isolation. To address this issue, U.S. News held a STEM Solutions Conference to discuss how to increase diversity in STEM.

“What’s most important is that in all these cities, there are women and students who yearn for others who look like them. So we provide a way for them to come together,” said President and CEO Telle Whitney, a featured speaker at the conference. Today, more initiatives are being launched to provide students with STEM classes at an earlier age, provide minorities with the support they need and make the tech field more inclusive.
