Prominent Filmmaker and Founder of the Webby Awards to Keynote 2015 Women of Vision Awards

Tiffany Shlain To Kick-off Awards Banquet Alongside Fortune Reporter Caroline Fairchild Who Will Emcee Annual Event Celebrating

PALO ALTO, CA — January 22, 2015 – (ABI), a non-profit organization focused on the advancement of women in computing, announced today that Tiffany Shlain, renowned filmmaker and founder of the Webby Awards, will be the featured keynote speaker at ABI’s annual Women of Vision Awards Banquet. also announced that Caroline Fairchild, Fortune reporter and founder of Fortune’s Broadsheet will emcee the event to be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on May 14, 2015.

Also presented at the May event in Santa Clara, is the Top Company for Women in Computing Award, recognizing an organization that has demonstrated measurable results in attracting, retaining and advancing women in technical roles at all levels. Bank of America was the 2014 recipient of this award.

Emmy nominated filmmaker and Webby Awards founder, keynote speaker Tiffany Shlain’s films and work have received over 65 awards and distinctions, including being named by NPR as having delivered one of the Best Commencement Speeches, Ever, and by Newsweek as “one of the women shaping the 21st Century.” Four of her films have premiered at Sundance, including her acclaimed feature documentary Connected: An Autobiography about Love, Death & Technology, for which Shlain’s signature style was hailed by the New York Times as “high-tech Terry Gilliam.” The US State Department has also selected three of Shlain’s films to represent America at embassies around the world for the American Film Showcase.
