Although many tech companies are trying to find new ways to recruit more women into the industry, they often struggle to retain their female employees. One factor behind women leaving the tech industry is that female employees are usually often overlooked for promotion to leadership roles. Dr. Stephanie Rodriguez, Vice President of Policy and Engagement at AnitaB.org, spoke with The Hill about this issue and and the importance of pay equity. She also discussed strategies for advancing more women into leadership roles, and highlighted what initiatives we at AnitaB.org have taken to support our mission of 50/50 intersectional tech equity by 2025.
