Antisha Gaitan is a graduate student at the University of Denver and is pursuing a degree in communication and information technology (web design and development concentration). She decided to return to college after a nearly 9 year career in advertising working for clients including Walmart, Ruby Tuesday, DuPont and Pioneer. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Bradley University. She currently works as a community outreach specialist at Baker University in Overland Park, KS, where she handles social media and online marketing efforts. She resides in suburban Kansas City with her 4 year son and her husband.
“I learned about Anita Borg while searching for scholarships. After I did some research I realized that she was an extraordinary woman that touch a lot of lives. And then once I learned of GHC I quickly learned the impact Grace Hopper had on the industry. Both of these women are role models to women in computing.”
