I am currently a Masters Student at UC Irvine in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences focusing on human computer interaction (HCI), computer supported collaborative work (CSCW), ethnography, ubiquitous computing, and user design methods. I am currently conducting research under the guidance of advisors Judith Olson & Don Patterson. Specifically, I’m studying how adult women use technical spaces and technology groups, including hackerspaces and makerspaces, to facilitate career shifts into more technical professions like engineering and computer science.

“More than anything I was fascinated by what could be done with technology. Everything from automated lights, to DIY custom-made gadgets and projects, to microcontrollers like Arduino and mini-computers like Raspberry Pis, left me in a state of awe and inspiration.”
