Malea Grubb is an undergraduate student (Sophomore) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute majoring in Computer Science (Bachelor of Science). Before attending RPI, Malea was a professional ballet dancer in Europe and the United States and also had a book of poetry published. While at RPI, Malea has become involved in Open Source software projects and is also an undergraduate teaching assistant (programming mentor) for RPI’s Data Structures course. Her interests span a broad range of both artistic and technical fields, but her focus now lays in software engineering and the study of algorithms.
“Programming requires both creativity and technical precision, which together are the recipes for successful algorithmic design.”
