Robin is a first year PhD student in a joint Computer Science and Communications PhD program at Northwestern University. She holds a Master’s degree in Human-Centered Computing and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland. Robin is interested in user experience research, as it relates to social media of users of different expertise levels. Her current research interests are specific to social computing and older adults. She has conducted user experience research at IBM Research, University of Maryland, and Carnegie Mellon University. In her spare time, Robin likes to watch HGTV, play boardgames, read mystery conspiracy novels (Inferno, Angels and Demons, etc.), and mentor other females interested in Human-Computer Interaction.
