Alma Castillo

Alma has been working as a Software Engineer at Google London for the last three years. She holds a double-bachelor’s degre in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a master’s degree in Interaction Design and Technologies from Chalmers University in Sweden. While working towards her master’s degree, she was awarded the Google Anita Borg Memorial scholarship. She has been part of Systers since she attended her first GHC in 2014 and has volunteered as a mentor in their GSoC program as well as as a speaker, reviewer, and volunteer for GHC during the last five years. She deeply cares about technologists and women in tech in Spain and has been working in Systers Spain since she co-founded it in 2015. She is also part of the ACM-W yearly Spanish celebration committee and has worked as a mentor in SpaniardsToSV, to help Spanish students prepare for technical interviews with Silicon Valley companies.
