Setting up Your Own Facebook Fundraiser for the AnitaB.org Tech Journey Challenge

Take a minute to review this step-by-step process on setting up your own fundraiser on Facebook!

If videos aren’t your thing, here’s the written out step-by-step process:

Step 1: Log into your Facebook, on the main feed, find the toolbar on the left and click “See More” (creative team to add a circle or square outline to draw attention to ‘see more’)

Step 2: Scroll down on the toolbar until you see “Fundraisers”

Step 3: Click on “Select nonprofit”

Step 4: Type in “AnitaB.org” and select the option as shown below

Step 5: Fill out the Fundraiser Details.

  • How much money do you want to raise? This is completely up to you, choose a number you feel is realistic for your community to help you meet! If you have absolutely no idea, we suggest $500 as a lofty but achievable goal!
  • Select currency Please keep this at US Dollars (USD)
  • When should your fundraiser end? The Tech Journey Challenge is over on September 30, 2023!
  • What’s the title of your fundraiser? [Your Name]’s fundraiser for AnitaB.org
  • Why are you raising money?  Write your own, or copy and paste this: Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I’m raising money for AnitaB.org and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support. I’ve included information about AnitaB.org and the Tech Journey Challenge below.   At AnitaB.org, we envision a future where the people who imagine and build technology mirror the people and societies for whom they build it.
