Apprenticeship Pathway Program

The AnitaB.org Apprenticeship Pathway Program (APP) promotes a diverse, inclusive, and equitable tech workforce, focusing on historically excluded communities including Black, Latine, Indigenous, Pacific Islander, LGBTQIA+ women, and nonbinary people. Participants are paid to learn and can convert to a full-time career in tech upon completion of the program.

Addressing Diversity Gaps in the Computing Workforce

In the US, only 26% of the computing workforce are women, with low representation among Asian (6%), Black or African American (3%), and Hispanic or Latine (2%) women. Data for nonbinary individuals in tech is currently insufficient.

The AnitaB.org Apprenticeship Pathway Program addresses challenges in access, recruiting, retention, and advancement for these communities, while helping organizations strategically address workforce development needs.

The APP model increases diversity in the industry to foster innovation, employee retention, and economic mobility.
