How to Make the Most of GHC

GHC is just one part of the fantastic AnitaB.org ecosystem that supports women and nonbinary technologists year-round. Here’s how to make the most of your GHC experience, before, during and after Grace Hopper Celebration!

Research Sponsors & Patrons: Check out the Sponsors & Patrons page to see which organizations will be present. Plan your must-visit booths and get ready to make an impression!

Update Your Resume and Optimize Your LinkedIn: You’ll be making tons of new connections, so ensure your online profile shines. Add your resume to the AnitaB.org database for recruiters to see.

Plan Your Schedule: Familiarize yourself with the conference agenda and venue. Identify can’t-miss speakers, workshops, and sessions to make the most of your time.

Prepare Your Gear: Pack your business cards, a notepad, pens, snacks, computer, and chargers. And don’t forget comfortable attire—you’ll be on the move!

Engage with Influencers and Resources: Follow influencers who share helpful tips and subscribe to resources like B The Way Forward, our tech podcast. Stay connected with the community and hear from future and past GHC speakers!

Network Actively: Dive into networking by engaging with fellow attendees. Introduce yourself, exchange contact information, and follow up with new connections on LinkedIn or GitHub!

Participate in Sessions: Expand your horizons by attending a variety of sessions. This broadens your knowledge and gives you the chance to connect with others who share your interests.

Utilize Your AnitaB.org Membership: As a GHC attendee, you get a one-year Premium AnitaB.org Membership. Enjoy member-only events, our Mentorship Program, on-demand content, and a global network of technologists.

Follow Up: Reach out to the people you met and continue the conversation. A simple follow-up can solidify new connections and open doors to mentorships, career opportunities, and friendships!

Implement and Share Your Learnings: Apply your new knowledge to work or personal projects. Share your insights on social media or your blog to establish yourself as a thought leader in tech.
