NetApp’s New Years Resolution: Address Unconscious Bias

NetApp is getting ready for the new year, and one of its many plans is to address unconscious bias against women in tech. “The NetApp team in India has a healthier diversity ratio than in the U.S., but the challenges for women technologists are still very much there – they just manifest themselves differently,” said Mark Bregman, NetApp’s CTO and a director at ABI.

“One of our engineering leaders, Kevin Nigh, became hugely interested in this issue during his involvement with, and started a small pilot program on it,” Mark said. “We recently concluded training on the removal of unconscious biases for all senior leadership within the product and operations teams, and now we are working on a model to roll it out across the company.”
